The most commonly consumed beverage is soda, we just take it for granted. If we care about our health, however, we really should be avoiding these drinks. The effect they can have on our bodies will come as a surprise to most people.

So you know you should reduce the amount of soda that you consume, but need reasons why. Here are a few of the bad facts about soda to help you decide.

As tasty as it may be, the calories contained in soda offer no benefits at all to our health, and when we consume these calories they are merely stored by our bodies as fat. Ok, the cans many say that they are free of fat, but the excessive amount of sugar that is in soda can be very fattening. Therefore, consuming large amounts of soda can cause you to put weight on.

Soda can badly stain our teeth and cause tooth decay, fact. Regularly drinking soda discolors our teeth to such an extent they look yellow. Direct links have been scientifically proven between decaying of the teeth and soda.

Diabetes is a serious illness that has been linked with excessive soda consumption. The amount of sugars in the soda causes too much insulin to be produced. It will come as no surprise to many that the rate of Diabetes worldwide haws increased in line with the amount of soda consumed.

A new study has recently been conducted at the medical center in Georgetown by Noel Muller. Your chances of developing Pancreatic Cancer are increased by a massive 87% by consuming two or more sodas in a week. That is a very scary fact!

As this study isn’t conclusive with the results being so small, deaths caused by Pancreatic Cancer are on the increase and we should all seriously think about cutting back our soda consumption.
