What better way to spend your day off or evening with a loved one than by watching a funny comedy movie. And if it happens to be animated, all the better to unleash the child in you! Shark Tale fits the bill perfectly. With voices by such pros as Will Smith, Jack Black, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, you can be sure the animated characters come alive.

Shark Tale movie that was launched in 2004, stars Oscar, a small fish (voice by Will Smith), who like any other ambitious middle class fish dreams of lavish luxuries. Oscar is a whale-tongue washer and dreams of finding the pot of gold one day at the end of the rainbow. Dreams of Oscar plop out when he is suddenly approached by his boss Sykes (Martin Scorsese). Sykes reminds Oscar of the debt he owes to him and expects its repayment the very other day.

Angie (Renee Zellweger) serves as a good example for the saying ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’ and tries helping out the fore mentioned small fish, Oscar. She offers this valuable help by pawning her valuable property and inheritance. While Oscar is on his way to deliver the owed money to Sykes and repay his debt, he is struck once again by the addictive environment of racehorse betting that compels him to place an unsafe bet on one of the horses.

Oscar loses all the money that he was betting on in the horse race and becomes tensed about the potential consequences that may follow when he won’t be able to repay his debt. In the midst of all these tensions, Oscar faces a tough situation when he is confronted by Lenny (Jack Black) and his brother Frankie (Michael Imperioli).

Frankie asks Lenny approach Oscar and the jellyfishes to attack. Ernie and Bernie get alarmed and scoot. Lenny (kind-hearted shark) pretends to attack Oscar and somehow manages to rescue him. Although Frankie who has been noticing similar incidents of disobedience on Lenny’s part for quite some time gets enraged. Frankie charges towards Lenny and gets killed by an anchor. Panic-stricken Lenny flees from the scene, and Oscar is left with the dead whale. People who gather at the spot in no time assume that it is Oscar who slew the shark serve him the title of a brave Shark slayer.

Within a short span of time Oscar’s dream of making it big one day comes true. He employers his former boss Sykes as his manager and begins to live a lavish life with his flirty girlfriend Lola. Situation takes a vicious turn when Don Lino sends out his sharks to find Lenny and Oscar as he thinks they were the ones who were responsible for the unexpected death of Frankie. While all this ups and downs going on in Oscar’s life, Lenny returns to ask for shelter and coverage from Oscar. Angie comes to know about the truth of the incident and bashes Oscar for it. Oscar strives to survive through all these tough and problematic situations.
